On this page, Vespas of the A.C.M.A. production from 1950 to 1954 are shown. The first three pictures in row one are most interesting. Although the production in France started in 1951, this vespa shows the rodshifting.

The answer: Between spring 1950 and ferbruary 1951 italian Vespas (Type V 15) were imported to France. There they were equiped with the typical parts for France and the frontlight was moved to the handelbar. Those scooters had the later crometrim at the frontfender, the frontlight was mounted at the handlebar and the A.C.M.A. typical identification plate with motornumber and chassisnumber was mounted inside the rear glovebox. The backlight was the italian V15 light.

The last picture on this page shows a disaster... The question: Is this art???
