Differences A.C.M.A. V15 - V33:
Before the production in Fourchambault, France, started 1950 Vespa V 15 were imported from Italy and had some parts changed for french needs Pictures . There was a special chrometrim at the frontfender and a frontlight (Brand "Auteroche") that was mounted at the handlebar. The taillight (normal italian V15) was not mounted to the body, but directly to the licensplate wich was painted just black. Because the licenseplates were self-painted these times, a black plate at the back and two round, broad stripes at the frontfender were enough. The A.C.M.A.Typeplate was mounted inside the rear glovebox. 1951 most of the parts were produced in France. Starting with the own production and modell V 31, the cableshifting was introduced, the frontfork was redesigned and the A.C.M.A.Typeplate with Motornumber and Chassisnumber was placed at the back of the legshield. Also there was a square backlight with a red plasticinlay (Brand "Auteroche", 4th foto, down). With 1952 100% of the parts were produced in France. 1951 and 1952 a brighter green was used for spraying the Vespas, than 1953 and 1954.
1952 a speedometer was added to the handlebarholder. 1953 a new steeringhead with built-in speedometer was introduced and a new taillight with round center and two sidwings was added. Modellchange 1953 - 54 was also the end for the open engine cover.
